Keep enough of your pet's current food for the whole switch, and move one pack to the fridge the night before day 1. Open the transition guide
Your daily rhythm
- Each evening, check the fridge. If tomorrow's food isn't thawed yet, move a pack from the freezer now. Thawing takes about 12 hours.
- Use thawed food within 4 days, kept in the fridge between 3°C and 8°C. In the early days you use small amounts, so one pack can last a few days. Anything left after 4 days goes in the bin.
- Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed, never hot. Take the portion out of the fridge a little before mealtime.
- Fresh water should always be available.
The percentages below are shares of your pet's daily amount from Build My Box. Example: if your dog's daily amount is 400 g, day 1 is 100 g of Soluky plus 75% of their usual portion of their current food.

Cats then move to 100% Soluky from day 9 to day 14. Watch your cat at this last stage and ease back to 75% if needed. Full plans: Switching your dog and Switching your cat.
Picky or sensitive?
Use the gentle 21-day plan instead, and take each stage a little slower. A spoonful of bone broth over the bowl can help. See Tips for picky eaters.
What to watch for
Slightly softer stools during the switch are common. If they appear, go back to the previous stage for a couple of days before moving on. See What to expect in weeks 1 to 4 and Loose stool after switching.
If a cat refuses food for more than 24 hours, or your pet has ongoing vomiting or diarrhoea, please contact your vet. See When to talk to your vet.
During Ramadan or any change in routine, keep the daily total the same and simply move mealtimes, for example around iftar and suhoor. See Meals per day.
