Clear a shelf or drawer in your freezer before your box arrives, so everything can go straight in. How much room you need depends on your pet's size and how often you get deliveries: more frequent deliveries mean less food to store at once.

Before delivery day

  1. Check what's coming. Your order confirmation email, or the Orders tab in your dashboard, shows how many packs are in your box.
  2. Clear a shelf or a drawer just for Soluky. Use up or reorganise what's already there.
  3. Check your freezer is working well: cold, door closing properly, no heavy ice build-up taking space.
  4. Leave a little room in the fridge for the pack you'll be thawing each day.

Practical tips

  • Lay packs flat and stack them. Flat packs stack neatly and use space well.
  • Group by recipe so you can grab the right one quickly, especially if you rotate recipes or feed more than one pet.
  • First in, first out: put new packs at the back and use the older ones first.
  • A basket or tub in the freezer keeps packs together and is easy to pull out.
  • Treats don't need the freezer. Keep them sealed in a cool, dry cupboard.

Short on space?

  • Get smaller, more frequent deliveries. Switching to every week or every 2 weeks means fewer packs at a time. Keep in mind each delivery has its own fee. See Change your delivery frequency and Delivery fees.
  • Large dogs or several pets? Many families feeding fresh food keep a small separate freezer for their pets' meals.
  • Too much food building up? Skip a delivery or space them out: Running low or too much food.

If your freezer stops working or you have a long power cut, see Travelling and power cuts. Thawed food must stay in the fridge and be used within 4 days. Never refreeze it.
