Why is Soluky gently cooked and frozen?

Why we cook our meals gently instead of serving raw, and why freezing replaces preservatives.

We gently cook every meal, low and slow, so it is real food that is easy to digest and easy to handle at home, without the heavy processing of kibble. Then we freeze it, because freezing keeps it fresh without any added preservatives.

Why cooked, not raw?

  • Easier to handle at home: gently cooked food is simpler to store, thaw and serve in a family kitchen than raw meat.
  • Gentle on digestion: cooking low and slow keeps the ingredients recognisable while making the meal easy to digest.
  • Tested for safety: every recipe goes through nutritional analysis, pathogen testing (including E. coli), aflatoxin screening, heavy metal testing and full microbiological analysis. See quality and safety.

Why gently cooked, not high-heat?

Most kibble is made at high heat and is ultra-processed. We cook at low temperatures so the meal stays close to the real meat and vegetables it is made from. See fresh food vs kibble.

Why frozen?

  • Freshness without preservatives: we add no preservatives and no artificial additives. Freezing is what keeps the food fresh.
  • Made to order: your meals are prepared in our Riyadh kitchen and frozen to lock in freshness.
  • Cold all the way: ingredients arrive temperature-controlled, and every delivery travels in temperature-controlled vehicles with cold storage.

What this means for you

  1. Put packs in the freezer as soon as they arrive.
  2. Thaw a pack in the fridge for 12 hours before serving. Never on the counter.
  3. Once thawed, keep it at 3 to 8 °C and use it within 4 days. Never refreeze.
  4. Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed, never hot.
